ACS boys move up to second

The Allen County-Scottsville boys’ basketball team inched closer to the top spot in the latest Daily News Area Top 10, climbing to second.

Bowling Green is now the unanimous choice for the top spot, receiving all 10 first-place votes. Warren Central, which has dropped two straight, fell a spot behind ACS to third.

Logan County holds at fourth, with Clinton County staying in fifth.

Glasgow, Greenwood, Barren County, Franklin-Simpson and Monroe County round out the boys’ poll.

On the girls’ side, Bowling Green stays at number one – getting nine out of 10 first-place votes.

Glasgow holds at second, while Barren County, who received the other first-place vote, stays at third.

Allen County-Scottsville is fourth with Metcalfe County fifth.

Russell County, Logan County, South Warren, Edmonson County and Russellville rounds out the girls’ poll.

Voting was conducted before Monday’s game.
