The Wildcats are coming of a District 12 championship, but must replace their top three scorers. Senior Tucker Cole should lead the way, along with fellow senior Logan Lindsey.

3. Grayson County

14-16 last year

Despite a roster that features more underclassmen, Grayson County hopes to be a challenger in District 12. Bailey Logsdon is the lone returning senior for the Cougars. The junior class includes Josh Embry, Logan Majors, Caleb Ray and DeAndre Turner.

4. Whitesville Trinity

7-24 last year

The Raiders bring back a wealth of experience with hopes to rebound from a tough 2016-17 season. The senior class includes Zach and Zeke Roberts, while the junior class includes Trinity’s leading returning scorer Cameron Wright.

1. Russellville

22-12 last year

Longtime head coach Phil Todd and Belmont signee Pedro Bradshaw are gone, but there is still plenty of optimism for the Panthers under first-year coach Rex Booth. Seniors Jacolbie Mason and Devin Quarles return to provide valuable experience, while junior Jacob Naylor looks to pick up the slack on the offensive end.

2. Franklin-Simpson

26-7 last year

The Wildcats will have to replace nine seniors, including Mr. Basketball finalist Tavin Lovan. Head coach Dee Spencer will lean on five seniors this season – including Dee Ragland – and juniors Jevon Covington and Kyler Pritchett.

3. Logan County

7-20 last year

Seniors Austin Rayno and Mykal Hampton look to lead the way, with juniors Kelby Epley and Third Bell also expected to play big roles for the Cougars.

4. Todd County Central

9-17 last year

The Rebels won six games after Jan. 13, including an 18-point victory over Logan County. Todd County Central will look to carry that momentum into this season with leading scorers Nolan Barrow and John Calvary returning.

1. Barren County

17-16 last year

Senior Jared Coomer gives Barren County one of the top players in the region, but the Trojans have other weapons that look to make an impact. Sophomore Will Bandy looks to build off a solid freshman campaign, with seniors Garrett Arterburn and Parker Stephens also expected to contribute.

2. Monroe County

17-13 last year

The Falcons bring back plenty of experience, hopeful of making another postseason run. Senior Billy Joe Murphy is one of the region’s most prolific returning scorers after averaging 22.3 points a night last season, while Ty Mink also returns to give Monroe County depth and experience.

3. Glasgow

4-24 last year

Glasgow will try to rebound from an injury-plagued 2016-17 season that pressed plenty of underclassmen into action. Seniors Peyton Mills and Dalvin Smith will be asked to provide leadership, while sophomore Kobe Brents, Nik Sorrell and Jaden Franklin are also expected to be valuable contributors as well.

4. Allen County-Scottsville

10-19 last year

Nick Chaykowsky is the fourth head coach in four years for the Patriots. He inherits a team that returns four seniors, but will have to find a way to replace the top scorers from last year.
