Coradini leads Spartans to 2-0 win over Greenwood

Mikey Coradini tossed a four hit shutout to lead South Warren past Greenwood 2-0 on Monday at South Warren High School.
Coradini struck out five and walked one to improve to 6-1 on the season.
Griffin Rardin had a solo homer for South Warren (17-4 overall, 2-1 District 14) with Ty Croghan adding an RBI and Tucker Sears a run scored.
Nathan Howard tossed a complete game for Greenwood (18-5, 2-1), allowing four hits with four walks and seven strikeouts.
Bowling Green 12, Warren Central 2
Drew Isenberg had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Purples to a District 14 win.
Andru Jones added two hits and two RBIs for Bowling Green (13-8 overall, 2-1 District 14). Jackson Idlett earned the win allowing one earned run and three hits with 10 strikeouts.
Warren Central drops to 0-6 overall, 0-3 in district play.
Warren East 12, Glasgow 2
Kavien Hinton had five hits – including a homer – and seven RBIs to lead the Raiders to a District 15 road win.
William Alexander added three hits and three RBIs for Warren East (5-13 overall, 1-2 District 15) while Brenden Bratcher and Briggs Young had two hits and an RBI each.
Matthew Escalera earned the win allowing two unearned runs and two hits with seven strikeouts.
Hudson Gumm and Carter Hodges had one hit each for Glasgow (7-14, 1-2).
Barren County 10, ACS 9
Gavin Coffey had three hits and two RBIs to lead the Trojans past Allen County-Scottsville.
JP Hyde added two hits and two RBIs for Barren County (15-7 overall, 3-0 District 15). Sutton Hyde homered, while Axel Dysholm and Jordan Harris finished with two hits and an RBI each.
Allen County-Scottsville drops to 6-14-1 overall, 1-2 in district play.
Franklin-Simpson 13, Todd County Central 0
Boy Blanckenberg tossed a one hit shutout with six strikeouts as the Wildcats cruised to the District 13 win.
Layne Alford had four hits – including a homer – and four RBIs for Franklin-Simpson (15-10 overall, 3-1 District 13). Jaxon Gass added two hits and three RBIs, while Brady Delk finished with two hits and an RBI.
Logan County 9, Westmoreland (Tenn.) 3
Drew McLellan and Lyndon Wilson had two hits and two RBIs each to lead the Cougars to a win on Monday.
TySean Thomeczek struck out 10 over 5 2/3 innings to earn the win for Logan County (16-7).
Softball
Warren East 5, Bowling Green 3
Tristen Lindsey allowed one run over six innings and added two hits at the plate to lead the Lady Raiders past the Lady Purples.
Autumn Brooks added two hits for Warren East (18-4), while Kennedy Lawson doubled and scored two runs.
Bowling Green drops to 12-9 on the season.
Barren County 7, Green County 5
Kaitlyn Elmore homered and drove in four to lead the Trojanettes to the win.
Lizzie Smith, Briley Aidala and Lily Elmore all finished with two hits and an RBI for Barren County (14-4).
Franklin-Simpson 10, Westmoreland (Tenn.) 8
Lilly Ferguson homered and drove in three to lead the Lady Cats to the win.
Ava Holland had two hits and three RBIs for Franklin-Simpson (10-12), while Allie Utley added three hits and three runs scored. Jasmine Grover finished with two hits and an RBI.
