Several Western Kentucky University faculty members were recognized with awards during Saturday’s commencement.

Provost Barbara Burch recognized the following faculty award winners, who will be formally honored at the fall faculty meeting: Scott Bonham, department of physics and astronomy, excellence in teaching; Louis-Gregory Strolger, department of physics and astronomy, excellence in research/creativity; Darlene Applegate, department of folk studies and anthropology, excellence in public service; and Bruce Crawley, department of communication, excellence in student advising.
