Bratcher honored at insurance convention

Don Bratcher, of Bowling Green, was recently honored as the 2010 National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in Kentucky Medal of Honor recipient at NAIFA Kentucky’s annual convention in Louisville.
The award was presented by 2009 honoree Auston McCay, also of Bowling Green. The purpose of the NAIFA Kentucky Medal of Honor is to recognize an outstanding NAIFA Kentucky member who has demonstrated those traits that are expected from a dedicated insurance or investments agent.
Bratcher joined the insurance industry in 1984. He joined NAIFA in January 1985 and earned his company’s Rookie of the Year award that year. He currently holds a securities license in addition to a life and health license. He is a multiple-year qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table.
Bratcher has served NAIFA Kentucky as state president and other offices. He has served NAIFA Southern Kentucky as president multiple times and has held other offices. Bratcher is an active leader at Eastwood Baptist Church and has served several local charitable organizations.
CommunityWide Mortgage gets new name
CommunityWide Mortgage, at 661 U.S. 31-W By-Pass, has changed its name to Kirkston Mortgage Lending. The business specializes in Federal Housing Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture and Rural Housing Direct loans and conventional mortgage loans.

Jagoe Homes, with an office in Bowling Green, was recently named one of the Top 100 builders in the United States by Builder Magazine. Jagoe Homes is a third-generation family-owned business that has been building houses for more than 71 years in Kentucky and Indiana.
