Sycamores’ Green stands tall in Neyland Stadium
Indiana State redshirt junior cornerback Rondell Green (Warren Central Class of 2013) had came up with a big-time play in front of 99,015 at Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium on Saturday in Knoxville, Tenn.
Green’s goal-line interception of Tennessee quarterback Quinten Dormady’s pass prevented a touchdown and provided on of the bright spots in a 42-7 loss for the FCS-level Sycamores against the Volunteers.
Green returned the interception four yards.
On defense, Green finished with three tackles, all solo stops.
Indiana State (0-2) is back in action Saturday at Liberty.

Western Kentucky senior wide receiver Nacarius Fant (Bowling Green Class of 2014) had a team-high 10 receptions for 110 yards in the Hilltoppers’ 20-7 loss at Illinois on Saturday.
Fant also had a tackle for WKU.
Redshirt sophomore running back Marquez Trigg (Glasgow Class of 2015) added one catch for six yards, and WKU redshirt sophomore Ta’Corian Darden (Russellville Class of 2015) had a solo tackle for the Hilltoppers.
WKU (1-1) is back in action at home Saturday against Conference USA rival Louisiana Tech.

Kentucky Wesleyan freshman defensive end Dalan Cofer (Bowling Green Class of 2017) tallied a team-high nine tackles in the Panthers’ 33-13 home win Saturday over Livingstone (N.C.) in Owensboro.
Cofer finished with five solo tackles plus four assists, and had 2.5 tackles for loss totaling six yards.
KWC sophomore defensive tackle Curtis Johnson (Warren Central Class of 2016) finished second on the team with seven tackles, including three solo stops, and also had 2.5 tackles for loss totaling five yards.
Panthers sophomore wide receiver Jacob Yates (Bowling Green Class of 2016) had one catch for 28 yards, plus added two punt returns for four yards.
KWC freshman defensive back Malcolm Johnson (Greenwood Class of 2017) finished with three tackles, including two solo stops, and fellow freshman defensive back John Ford (South Warren Class of 2017) had two tackles – one solo – in the win.
Kentucky Wesleyan (1-1) is back in action Saturday at Kentucky State.

Centre senior quarterback Devin Hayes (Bowling Green Class of 2014) passed for three touchdowns to lead the host Colonels to a lopsided 61-10 win over Anderson (Ind.) on Saturday in Danville.
Hayes completed 15 of 23 passes for 155 yards and three TDs with no interceptions. He also added a rushing yard in the win.
Centre sophomore defensive back Karim Kimble (Glasgow Class of 2016) talllied his first career interception and also added a solo tackles.
Colonels sophomore kicker/punter Tanner South (Greenwood Class of 2016) was 1-for-1 on extra-point attempts.
Centre (2-0) is back in action Saturday at home against Southern Athletic Association rival Hendrix (Ark.).

Union (Ky.) junior linebacker Anthony Kelsey (Warren East Class of 2015) tallied eight tackles, including three solo stops, in the Bulldogs’ 43-14 road victory at Kentucky Christian on Saturday.
Union (2-1) is back in action Saturday at home against Lindsey Wilson.

Redshirt junior punter Landon Stratton (Logan County Class of 2014) made the most of an active day in Murray State’s 41-13 home loss to Central Arkansas on Saturday.
Stratton had six punts for 248 yards, averaging 41.3 yards per kick with a longest of 50 yards and one downed inside the 20-yard line against Central Arkansas, ranked No. 15 in FCS heading into the game.
Racers redshirt sophomore wide receiver Jensen Feggins (Warren Central Class of 2015) finished with three catches for 11 yards.
Murray State (1-1) is back in action Saturday at Missouri State.
