Middleton, Brown combine for 10 tackles in Wildcats’ home win

Kentucky junior defensive tackle Adrian Middleton (South Warren Class of 2014) and redshirt sophomore linebacker Eli Brown (Warren East Class of 2015) combined for 10 tackles in the Wildcats’ 24-20 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday in Lexington.
Brown finished with six tackles, including four solo stops, and had one tackle for a loss of a year.
Middleton totaled four tackles, two solo, and also had a tackle for a loss of two yards.
Kentucky (4-1) is back in action Oct. 7 against visiting Southeastern Conference rival Missouri.

Murray State redshirt junior punter Landon Stratton (Logan County Class of 2014) delivered a strong performance in Saturday’s 55-10 loss at Louisville.
Called on to punt nine times, Stratton totaled 421 punting yards for an average of 46.8 yards per punt. He placed three punts inside the 20-yard line, and finished with four punts of more than 50 yards.
Racers redshirt wide receiver Jensen Feggins (Warren Central Class of 2015) tallied two catches for 10 yards.
Murray State (1-4) is back in action Oct. 7 at Ohio Valley Conference rival UT Martin.

Jacksonville freshman quarterback Ryder Litten (South Warren Class of 2017) completed his first collegiate touchdown pass in the Dolphins’ 56-21 win over visiting Guilford (N.C.) on Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla.
Litten connected with Michon Sobers on a 1-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
Jacksonville (3-1) is back in action Oct. 7 at home against Davidson.

Indiana State redshirt junior cornerback Rondell Green (Warren Central Class of 2013) made a team-high 11 tackles in the Sycamores’ 24-13 road loss to No. 8 Illinois State on Saturday in Normal, Ill.
Green finished with nine solo tackles, and had 2.5 tackles for a loss of three yards. Green also forced a fumble and had one pass breakup.
Indiana State (0-4, 0-1 Missouri Valley Football Conference) is back in action Oct. 7 against visiting MVFC rival North Dakota State.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore defensive lineman Damani Jenkins (Barren County Class of 2015) tallied a sack in the Blue Raiders’ 56-7 road win at Mid-South Conference rival Cincinnati Christian on Saturday.
Jenkins’ sack pushed Cincinnati Christian back eight yards. Jenkins finished with three tackles, including one solo stop.
Lindsey Wilson (5-0, 1-0 Mid-South Conference) is back in action Oct. 14 at Kentucky Christian.

Union (Ky.) junior linebacker Anthony Kelsey (Warren East Class of 2015) tallied four tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss, in the Bulldogs’ 33-30 road loss to Cumberlands on Saturday.
Union redshirt freshman linebacker Demonte Bell (Greenwood Class of 2016) finished with two tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss.
Union (2-3) is back in action Oct. 14 at Reinhardt (Ga.).

Kentucky Wesleyan freshman defensive back Malcolm Johnson (Greenwood Class of 2017) blocked a field goal and tallied eight tackles in the Panthers’ 56-0 road loss to Hillsdale (Mich.) on Saturday.
Johnson had four solo stops for KWC.
Sophomore defensive tackle Curtis Johnson (Warren Central Class of 2016) totaled four tackles, including two solo stops, and had 1.5 tackles for loss accounting for six yards.
Freshman defensive end Dalan Cofer (Bowling Green Class of 2017) finished with two tackles, one solo.
KWC freshman quarterback Dessi Austin made his collegiate debut, competing his only pass attempt for six yards.
Panthers sophomore wide receiver Jacob Yates (Bowling Green Class of 2016) finished with one punt return for one yard.
Kentucky Wesleyan (1-3, 0-1 Great Midwest Athletic Conference) is back in action Oct. 7 at home against Walsh (Ohio).
