Warren Central, South Warren strengthen hold on top spots

After strong first weeks in the season, the Warren Central boys and South Warren girls are now unanimous No. 1 teams in the respective Daily News Area Top 10 polls.

The top four in the boys’ poll remains the same with Bowling Green second behind the Dragons, Barren County third and Monroe County fourth.

Glasgow leaps to fifth, with Russellville sixth and Clinton County seventh. Greenwood and Logan County are eighth and ninth, respectively, with Allen County-Scottsville and Butler County tied for 10th.

In the girls’ poll, Russell County holds at second behind the Spartans. Edmonson County hops up to third, with Glasgow fourth and Bowling Green fifth. Glasgow and Bowling Green will play at Bowling Green on Tuesday.

Barren County, Allen County-Scottsville, Monroe County, Greenwood and Logan County round out the girls’ poll.
