Cline pitches Campbellsville to win over Brescia
Campbellsville senior pitcher Dexter Cline (Greenwood Class of 2013) pitched five strong innings to earn the win in Wednesday’s 2-1 road baseball win over Brescia.
Cline, a left-hander, got the start and allowed just one earned run off two hits and five walks. He struck out five to pick up his third win of the season, helping the Tigers sweep the doubleheader.
Campbellsville (24-14) will be on the road Friday to play non-conference opponent West Virginia Tech.

Cumberlands senior pitcher Brantly Bray (Allen County-Scottsville Class of 2012) fired two scoreless innings of relief in the Patriots’ 14-5 baseball win over visiting Midway on Wednesday.
Bray allowed just one hit and one walk in his appearance.
Cumberlands (33-11) is back in action Friday at Mid-South Conference rival Shawnee State (Ohio).

Cairn (Pa.) sophomore pitcher Sam Dralle (Greenwood Class of 2015) pitched three scoreless innings of relief in the Highlanders’ 7-6 road baseball loss to Immaculata (Pa.) on Wednesday.
Dralle entered the game in the fourth inning of a tie game and only allowed two hits and no walks while striking out four.
Cairn (11-10) will finish off its three-game series against the Colonial States Athletic Conference-leading Mighty Macs on Monday with a doubleheader in Langhorne, Pa.

Centre senior designated hitter Trevor Brewer (Greenwood Class of 2013) chipped in with an RBI single in the Colonels’ 7-1 baseball win over Berea on Wednesday in Danville.
Centre (15-15) is back in action Friday, hosting Southern Athletic Association rival Sewanee (Tenn.).

Spalding sophomore second baseman Matt Harper (Logan County Class of 2015) collected a pair of hits in Wednesday’s 8-2 loss to visiting Thomas More at Derby City Field in Louisville.
Spalding (19-9) is back in action Saturday, when the Golden Eagles host Webster (Mo.) for a doubleheader matching the top two teams in the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Midway junior third baseman Lynsie Clark (Butler County Class of 2014) collected a pair of hits in Wednesday’s softball doubleheader sweep of visiting Cumberlands.
Clark chipped in with a single in Midway’s 5-4 win in the opener, then stroked a double and scored a run in the Eagles’ 7-4 win in Game 2.
Midway (15-15) returns to action April 18 with a road doubleheader at Berea.
