Bowling Green senior Joseph Hurt has been approaching this season with a can-do attitude.

“I’ve been trying to do whatever it takes to win for my team,” Hurt said. “Even playing like I was the big man – and I’m really not – I’ve been trying to (help).”

Hurt has been exceedingly helpful for the Purples. He’s averaged 13.7 points and a team-high 5.4 rebounds this season and continues to boost those numbers.

In Friday’s home win against District 14 rival South Warren, Hurt scored a team-high 26 points. He shared team-high honors with 16 points in a neutral-site win against Ashland Blazer on Saturday, then scored 20 points in Tuesday’s home win against Owensboro.
