Nappy Roots to perform at WKU

Internationally known rap group Nappy Roots will return to where it all started for them Tuesday – at Western Kentucky University.
In conjunction with the Campus Activities Board and in celebration of Nappy Roots Day in Kentucky, the Southern rap group with origins here will be in concert near the Guthrie Tower on the Downing University Center South Lawn.

The concert, which will begin at 6:45 p.m., is free and open to the public.
The now independent rap group is known for hits such as “Awnaw,” “Round Da Globe” and “Po Folks.”
The group’s newest album, “The Humdinger,” was released Aug. 5.
