The BGPD received a call at 5:04 p.m. Friday that a vehicle had crashed on College Street, according to a news release. Branden Lutz, 33, of Bowling Green, was traveling south in the alley between College and State streets when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding, crossed College Heights Boulevard and crashed in the yard of the Science and Technology Hall. Lutz was transported to a local hospital and then flown to an area trauma center, where he later died. The investigation is ongoing. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
