James Wallace DeBoe

James Wallace DeBoe, 85, of Bowling Green passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at his residence with his family by his side. He was a native of Dawson Springs, KY and was born September 16, 1939. DeBoe was preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Ruth Young DeBoe. His brother and sister-in-law’s Rachel Lowe (Henry), Bud Potter, Julian Potter, Kenneth Potter, Bobby Elrod (Charles), Bobby Howell, Phyllis (J.W.), and Buddy Elrod.

DeBoe was retired partner and electrician of Hunt, Potter & DeBoe Electric, and an active member of Berea Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a gentleman that loved his family and never met a stranger. Survivors include his wife Sue Potter DeBoe, a sister Ann Childers, brother-in-law Dennis Potter and 3 sister-in-law’s Joan Howell, Mary Jo Elrod and Betty Potter, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Military Rites at the graveside.
