Three people, including two from Bowling Green, were killed Saturday in a four-vehicle crash in Hardin County.
According to a news release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 5:10 p.m Saturday near the 6-mile marker of the Bluegrass Parkway.
A vehicle driven by Shirley Fuqua, 30, of Elizabethtown, was traveling east on the parkway when the driver struck another vehicle, causing Fuqua to lose control and exit the left side of the road.
Fuqua’s vehicle then crossed the median, went airborne and crashed head-on into a westbound vehicle carrying Leslie Parson, 58, and William Parson, 55, of Bowling Green.
The vehicle carrying the Parsons then struck another westbound vehicle in the front passenger side, according to the sheriff’s office.
Fuqua, Leslie Parson and William Parson were all pronounced dead at the scene, and the drivers of the other two vehicles were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
