Mae D. Anderson of Glasgow dies at 100

GLASGOW — Mae Dunaway Anderson, 100, of Glasgow, died Aug. 9, 2011, at a Glasgow nursing home.
She was a Spencer, W.Va., native. While in West Virginia, she was a retail sales clerk, attended the 5th Ave. Church of God in South Charleston and was a member of O.E.S. Salinas Chapter. As a Glasgow resident, she attended Glasgow Bible Church. She was a daughter of the late William Dunaway and Leoda Dearman Dunaway and the wife of the late Joseph Anderson. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Runion and Edna Dunaway; and a nephew, Frank Runion.
Funeral is at 6 p.m. Thursday at Glasgow Bible Church, with burial at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cunningham Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Albans, W.Va. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Visitation is also from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Fidler & Frame Funeral Home in Belle, W.Va. Arrangements are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, William J. “Bill” Anderson and his wife, Cynthia, of Glasgow; two granddaughters, Renee Basil and her husband, Scott, of Glasgow, and Sarah Jackson and her husband, Dean, of Alaska; four great-grandchildren, Damarias, Wally, Timmy and Cyrus; a niece, Donna Sue Williams and her husband, Bud, of Atlanta; and a great-nephew, Buddy Williams of Atlanta.
