Roger B. Bessinger

Roger B. Bessinger, 54, of Leitchfield, died at 10:28 a.m. Jan. 8, 2010, at the Hospice Center.

The Bowling Green native was born Feb. 7, 1955. He was a technical adviser for WRECC. He was a member of Clarkson Baptist Church and the Grayson County Rotary Club. He was a son of the late Brady L. Bessinger and Elizabeth Brown Bessinger. He was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Bessinger; and a sister, Grace Simmons.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lovers Lane chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Lovell Bessinger; two sons, William Brady Bessinger and his wife, Chelsea, of Nashville, and Jonathan Ryan Bessinger, of Leitchfield; a brother, Thaddeus Bessinger and his wife, Nancy, of Bowling Green; a sister, Mary Beane, of Smiths Grove; a sister-in-law, Edith Bessinger, of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.
