POLICE NEWS: Field near GM plant damaged

The field next to the Corvette track at the General Motors Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant was reportedly damaged this week.
According to a Bowling Green Police Department report, a GM security guard reported Thursday that security officers have noticed tire marks in the grass over the past several weeks from vehicles that had been driving and doing “doughnuts.”
Another person reportedly saw a red Chevrolet S10 covered in mud and parked off the road on the GM property at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Damage totaled $2,000.
Criminal Mischief — Someone kicked the trunk of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am parked in the 500 block of Eric Avenue between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday, according to a city police report. Damage totaled $800.
Criminal Mischief/Theft — Someone shattered the rear passenger window of a 1996 Dodge Neon parked in the 2400 block of Thoroughbred Drive on March 12 and stole two speakers, according to a city police report. Damage and losses totaled $360.
