A two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Hart County led to the death of one driver.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers were called around 6 a.m. Friday to the site of a crash in the 5100 block of Ky. 88.

Troopers determined that a 2015 Ford F150 driven by Randy Hawkins, 44, of Cub Run, was attempting to overtake another vehicle on Ky. 88 and collided with a 2010 Nissan Maxima driven by Jordan Pippin, 26, of Bowling Green.

Pippin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
