Lola D. Fox

GAMALIEL – Lola Deckard Fox, 72, of Indianapolis, formerly of Monroe County, died May 31, 2007, at Select Specialty Hospital in Beech Grove, Ind.

The Monroe County native was born on Aug. 27, 1934. She was a homemaker and member of Beautiful Home Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Bulie Deckard and Ruby Mae Hargis Deckard and the wife of the late Bennie Walter Fox.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Strode Funeral Home, with burial in Beautiful Home Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and begins at 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Michael Deckard of Indianapolis; a sister, Linda Montgomery of Bowling Green; five brothers, Jesse Deckard, Bulie Deckard Jr., Sammy Deckard and Terry Deckard, all of Tompkinsville, and David Deckard of Scottsville.
