Virginia BentonRUSSELLVILLE Virginia Benton, 78, of Russellville died Feb. 22, 2003, at Logan Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at Winston Funeral Home and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the church. Survivors include 11 children, Michael Benton, Virgil Benton, Phyllis Benton, James Benton Jr., Virginia Paulette Smith, Kathy Edmonds, Crystal Moore, Cynthia Harris and Vivian Bell, all of Russellville, Beverly Black of Louisville and Carolyn Faye Gamble of Hopkinsville; 32 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie Hill of Paducah and Louise Rouse of Indianapolis; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe Long of Adairville and Timmy Benton of Bowling Green; a sister-in-law, Marvinia Neblett; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mary R. CovingtonMary R. Covington, 75, of Bowling Green died Feb. 21, 2003, at The Medical Center. She was a member of Elevated Baptist Church and a daughter of the late John Boiling and Bessie Winston McCathron. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Burnam & Son Mortuary with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Witty and Vanessa Hardiman, both of Bowling Green; three sons, Cedrick Covington of Bowling Green, Frederick Covington of Lexington and Frankie E. Covington of Laughlin, Nev.; two brothers, James D. McCathron of Bowling Green and William L. McCathron of Dayton, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Pauline GregoryPauline Gregory, 67, of Bowling Green died at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 25, 2003, at The Medical Center. The Butler County native was a retired Fruit of the Loom employee, a housewife and a member of Halls Chapel Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Leora Givens Martin and John Luke Martin. Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband, James Gregory; three daughters, Teresa Haley of Rockfield and Linda Padgett and Diane West, both of Bowling Green; three sisters, Sue Alexander of Auburn, Edra Dean Dodson of Bowling Green and Shirley Gilliam of Rockfield; two brothers, Ellis Martin of Indianapolis and Sammy Martin of Auburn; five grandchildren, Melissa West, Rachel Haley, Mike McCoy, Brian West and Chris Padgett; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Don B. HogueSCOTTSVILLE Don B. Hogue, 59, of Scottsville died at 7:16 a.m. Feb. 25, 2003, at The Medical Center. The Adair County native was a carpenter and a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Hubert Wilson Hogue and Newman Gertrude York Hogue of Scottsville, who survives. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home. Other survivors include his wife, Pam Hogue; three sons, Drexxel Hogue and wife, Frances; Dustin Hogue and wife, Joyce, and Josh Hogue, all of Scottsville; three daughters, Scarlet Hogue and Holly Bass and husband, Joe, all of Scottsville, and Lorri Robison of Lebanon, Tenn.; two stepsons, Shannon Meador and wife, Dawn, of Fountain Run and Michael Meador and wife, Amanda, of Scottsville; a stepdaughter, Mindy Dicken and husband, Jeff, of Scottsville; a brother, Chester D. Macie RaymerBROWNSVILLE Macie Raymer, 78, of Brownsville died at 9 a.m. Feb. 25, 2003, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was a homemaker, a retired cook for the Jefferson County Board of Education and a member of Red Hill General Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late John Sowders and Gertie Gross Sowders and wife of the late Ralph Raymer. She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Raymer, and a daughter, Janell McKenzie. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Gravil Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Sneed of Macon, Ga.; a sister, Cova Higgs of Brownsville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Grace H. SkaggsBROWNSVILLE Grace Houchin Skaggs, 88, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Feb. 22, 2003, at Hospice Community Hospital of Northern Florida in Jacksonville. The Edmonson County native was a guidance counselor for Edmonson and Jefferson county schools. She was a daughter of the late Calvin D. Houchin and Rosa Ellen Denham Houchin and wife of the late Stinson Skaggs. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Union United Baptist Church,
