Russellville Blues Society’s Mary Ann Fisher Summer Concert Series June 5 – Sept. 4
Russellville Blues Society is once again bringing top-notch entertainment to Russellville this summer. The 2010 Mary Ann Fisher Summer Concert Series will feature four free concerts beginning June 5th and concluding on September 4th. All of the performers are well respected in the blues community, and each will bring their unique style and talents to the summer stage.
On Saturday, June 5th , the Delta Blues comes to Russellville! L.C Ulmer, Ellisville, MS and Delta-born Mississippi Millie, have over a century of combined experience playing real blues.
On Friday, July 16th , Louisiana native Chubby Carrier, and the Bayou Swamp
Band arrive in town bringing their brand of “High Energy, Swamp- Funky Zeydeco” music. Put on your boogie shoes and get that New Orleans feeling under the stars.
On Friday, August 6, celebrate Emancipation Proclamation Day with hometown favorite Michael Gough, whose new CD, Sing Me Back Home will be released in late summer 2010.
A Gospel Festival is planned for Saturday, September 4th. This is the 2nd year for the Gospel Music finale, featuring both youth and adult choirs.

All events are held at the West Kentucky African American Heritage Museums at the corner of 6th and Morgan Streets in Russellville.
