KSP responds to apparent murder-suicide on Wayne Watt Road
A husband and wife were found dead this weekend at a house on Wayne Watt Road after what Kentucky State Police said was an apparent murder-suicide.
When officers arrived early Sunday, they heard gunshots inside the home, according to a news release from KSP Post 3 in Bowling Green.
Tabitha L. Neighbors, 33, was found dead in a bedroom with a gunshot wound. Joseph A. Neighbors, 38, was found in an adjacent bathroom with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Both were pronounced dead by the Warren County Coroner’s Office at the residence and were taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Louisville for autopsies.
KSP assisted the Warren County Sheriff’s Office just before 1 a.m. after the sheriff’s office requested help.
KSP Post 3 spokesman Trooper B.J. Eaton said it’s not clear whether alcohol and drugs were involved. Eaton didn’t know whether KSP had been called to the residence in the past.
