CD Review: Watersprite by Jack Montgomery
An album with no filler, Jack Montgomery’s “Watersprite” takes the best of traditional Celtic music and combines it with lyrics and sounds to make something completely new.
A tremendous amount of talent can be heard on this album, and it is as diverse, interesting, and fun as the songs themselves. “Watersprite” offers toe-tapping jams that will offer a laugh, such as “Port-o-Potty Blues”, but also features soulful tunes, like “Only Love Survives”. This album is truly a mixture of old and new, poignant and funny, and wonderful and weird… in the best sense of the word.
