Vette City Roller Derby take on Scenic City for The Special Olympics & Toys For Tots

Boooooooo! Oh, the horror! The ladies of Vette City Roller Derby are lacing up our skates to get their spook on and scare our opponents in For Heaven’s Skates: A double-header bout on Saturday, Oct. 22 at The Skate Box on Three Springs Road. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the heart-pounding roller derby action begins at 5 p.m. as the Bowling Green Hot Broads take the track against Scenic City (Chattanooga, Tenn.).

Stick around to watch a rematch between the Vette City Vixens and the West Lafayette Brawlin’ Dolls (West Lafayette, Ind.) at 7 p.m. This promises to be one mighty fine shindig, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Special Olympics.

Also, an added bonus here. The first 50 fans in the door with an unopened toy for the Toys for Tots Drive will receive a free Vette City Roller Derby Zombie Prom t-shirt!

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door — kids 10 and under get in free! —and can be purchased from your favorite rollergirl or at: The Skate Box, Spencer’s Coffee House, Greener Groundz, Great Escape Records and Comics, and Asphalt Beach in Nashville.

As usual, beer, snacks, and VCRD schwag will be available for purchase at the bout. Find more details and RSVP to the event at our spankin’-new Facebook page, www.facebook.com/VetteCityRollerDerby.

Thank you for your continued support of Vette City Roller Derby! We’ll catch you on the flat track, Bowling Green!
