South Union Seminar Friday- Saturday April 23-24

The Shaker Museum at South Union celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2010, so this weekend’s very special South Union Seminar will reflect upon those five decades of accomplishments. Friday evening, participants will enjoy dinner at the Shaker Tavern followed by a gathering at the 1824 Centre House. Then on Saturday, be treated to presentations about the history of the South Union village, and the history of the museum.

There will be unveilings of major restoration projects and recent acquisitions, tributes to the founders of the museum, and a look at the future of the historic site. Be among the first to see the restored 1875 Grain Barn and the South Union Cemetery while hearing the story of the long road to restoration.

If you have ever wanted to learn more about the significance of the Shakers to Southern Kentucky and the world, this event is for you! Reservations are required, so call 800-811-8379 or visit the link below today.
