Demeanor: Shoulder Full of Nazis (2008)

The Franklin born grind and thrash, experimental, powerhouse, duo Chas Lee (guitar, vocals) and Coty Dimichele (drums, vocals) formerly known as MeandMyFriendCoty release their 5 song EP Shoulder Full of Nazis on January 12. Recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Rory Willis of RCW Records in Bowling Green the CD’s release party at the Jaycees building in Scottsville will kick off their 5 week tour.

According to Chas Lee “We formed the band in August of 2006 in attempts to create experimental ‘indie’ music, but joked around about how awesome it would be do have a two piece death metal band. Then we started jamming on heavier music, and then we started basically creating some great music with insane time signatures and tons of different parts, never repeating the same thing in the song… it is highly technical grind.”

Playing over 150 shows in the last 10 months across the US and in Canada, the two are gearing up for an even more hectic schedule now that they’ve signed to Mannequin Rein Recordings. They plan to debut a 14 track album on the label in May as well as unveil an online store.

Chas Lee describes their nonstop dedication to playing and promoting in his myspace blog saying “Since February 22nd (2007), we have sold over 300 copies of our self titled ep, been compared to such great bands as Machinist (proudly), Ed Gein (happily), The Locust (sadly) and more, becoming very well known for our acute and intense live performance, nearly touring the entire country and Canada non stop since February (doing dates with bands such as Sender Receiver, The Heartland and Lye by Mistake), and getting ready to release our first full length album on Mannequin Rein Recordings (home to current and future releases from such bands as Me and Him Call it Us, Gaza, Sender Receiver and more)
