Region 4 soccer pairings set
Pairings for the Region 4 boys’ and girls’ soccer tournaments were announced Friday, with both tournaments set to begin Monday.
In the boys’ tournament, which will be at Greenwood High School, District 13 runner-up Logan County (7-10-1) will face District 15 runner-up Clinton County (8-10-1) at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Logan County and Clinton County did not meet in the regular season.
District 13 champion Franklin-Simpson (10-5) will face District 14 runner-up South Warren (8-7-5) at 7:30 p.m. Monday. South Warren beat Franklin-Simpson 4-3 on Sept. 14.
The winner of Logan County and Clinton County will face Warren Central (19-1) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the winner of Franklin and South Warren facing Glasgow (18-2) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The championship game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The girls’ tournament, which will be at South Warren High School, opens with District 13 runner-up Logan County (5-10) facing District 15 runner-up Glasgow (9-11) at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Logan County beat Glasgow 2-1 on Aug. 15.
District 13 champion Todd County Central (10-5-2) will face District 14 runner-up Greenwood (18-3-1) at 7:30 p.m. Monday. The two teams did not meet in the regular season.
The winner of Logan County and Glasgow will face District 14 champion Bowling Green (12-3-1) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the winner of Todd County Central and Greenwood facing Barren County (15-5-2) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The championship is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday.
