Wright Implement, which has sold and leased farm machinery and lawn and garden equipment from its location at 820 Three Springs Road in Bowling Green since 2011, has moved to a bigger location.

The company, which carries John Deere, Stihl and Honda equipment, opened a new retail store at 1330 Plano Road near the William H. Natcher Parkway.

This new location will give Wright more room to meet the needs of agriculture and residential customers, said Gus Seeger, general manager of all seven Wright Implement locations in Kentucky and Indiana.

The 12-acre site will give the company more room to display equipment, and the 30,000-square-foot building is nearly twice the size of the Three Springs Road building.

“The previous lot was pretty cramped and outdated,” Seeger said.

Seeger said inventory will increase at the new location, and he said it will give the company “significantly more” shop space and parts space while also improving customer parking.

Wright’s former five-acre site on Three Springs Road could end up having a similar use. Travis Ayers of Bowling Green’s Coldwell Banker real estate agency said the site’s future use could be as a semi-truck dealership or an equipment rental company.

The new Wright Implement location on Plano Road will have a grand opening in the spring, Seeger said.
