Western Kentucky has lost a football commitment from its Class of 2018.

Florida cornerback Bryand Rincher tweeted Wednesday night that he was decommitting from WKU and will instead pursue a track and field career at Florida State.

Rincher (5-foot-9, 160 pounds) is a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native and senior at Piper High School. He’s rated a three-star football prospect by 247Sports Composite ranked No. 1,557 overall in the Class of 2018, No. 147 among cornerbacks in his class and No. 253 among Florida natives in the class.

Rincher, who committed to WKU in July, also holds reported scholarship offers from Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, Idaho, Marshall, South Florida and Temple.

Rincher’s decommitment leaves the Hilltoppers with 21 Class of 2018 commitments, including four defensive backs (Shannon Bishop, Arthur Brathwaite, Malik Occuir and Jayden Patterson) and five Floridians (Brathwaite, Occuir, Russell Brown, Maurquel Dillard and Troy Ingle).
