Two arrested after discovery of suspected meth lab in Edmonson
Deputies attempting to serve a warrant in Edmonson County discovered a suspected meth lab and made two arrests Sunday night.
According to the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to a residence on Morgantown Road to serve a warrant against Shawn Filback, 46, of Brownsville, for failing to appear for a court date on a number of traffic offenses.
Deputies arriving at the residence saw two people running away.
Filback stopped after being commanded to do so, only to run again when deputies attempted to handcuff him, according to the sheriff’s office. Filback was arrested after a short pursuit.
While deputies searched for the other person who ran, they discovered what appeared to be an active meth lab and obtained a search warrant.
Filback was arrested on charges of manufacturing meth, second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Patricia Mills, 41, was arrested on an indictment warrant charging her with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon and public intoxication (controlled substance).
