Dinner to honor Russellville couple
The community of Russellville will be honoring Robert and Karen White with a community appreciation dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday in K.P. Hall on East Fifth Street.
Jae Allison, a family and church friend of the Whites, organized the dinner along with a few others.
“He’s leaving our community and has done a lot for the Logan County area,” Allison said.
White and his wife will be moving to Murfreesboro, Tenn., where he has accepted a job as the vice president of communications and member services at Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation. He has been the general manager and superintendent of the Russellville Electric Plant Board since May 2013. His wife also tutored children throughout the community.
They attended First Baptist Church in Russellville.
People in the community are encouraged to bring a dish or dessert to the appreciation dinner.
“They are a great couple and a big asset to our community,” Allison said. “He will be truly missed in Russellville.”
