TEN QUESTIONS … with Kevin Wiles
Current job title: Warren County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy.

The one thing no one knows about me is … I have cut my own hair for more than 20 years. (Or maybe that’s obvious to everyone?)
My dream job is … Drummer for a low-key cover band in a tropical location.
My first job was … newspaper route delivered via bicycle.
The best advice I ever got was … wear the padded shorts when riding a road bike.
My hero (and why) is … my father. He raised three boys to be decent people, served his country in Vietnam and is now taking care of my mom, who has been sidelined with an illness.
If I could do it all over again, I … would have started running and biking when I was young and vigorous. (I might have been able to get at least one “King of the Mountain” on the Strava social media site for athletes.)
The part of my job I could do without is … the occasional requirement to deliver really bad news to nice people.
The one thing I always carry with me is … a large diet soda drink, preferably Diet Mountain Dew.
Best meal I ever had was … a Whopper value meal at the Burger King on Parris Island the night before graduating from boot camp.
At the top of my bucket list is … to complete some more segments of the Appalachian Trail.
