Warren County again achieves Work Ready status

The Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board approved the application for re-certification of Work Ready Community status for Warren County, granting an additional three years of certification.

Warren County was one of the first counties in Kentucky to receive this designation in 2012. Currently, 42 of Kentucky’s 120 counties are certified Work Ready.

To become a certified Work Ready Community, Warren County demonstrated its ability to reach standards and implement plans that would foster the growth necessary to meet and surpass criteria set forth by the KWIB. The community’s high school graduation rate, National Career Readiness Certificate holders, community commitment, educational attainment, soft skills development and residential broadband access all factored into the recertification review.

Warren County will need to be re-certified again in 2022.
