Third person arrested in Cave City slaying

Police arrested a third person suspected of involvement in the fatal shooting of a Cave City man in his apartment.

Devonja Sweat, 22, of Nashville, was located near Maplewood Place in Nashville and taken into custody by Nashville Metro Police Department on a warrant charging him with murder, according to Kentucky State Police.

KSP detectives investigating the death of Keshawn Sarver, 22, of Cave City, obtained the arrest warrant Wednesday.

Sarver was found shot to death Dec. 28 in his Glenwood Court apartment.

Sweat has been placed in Nashville Metro Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Barren County.

He was arrested one day after detectives arrested two other people, Inell Crayton, 23, of Bowling Green, and Kayla Anderson, 22, of Scottsville, suspected of involvement in the homicide.

Crayton is charged with murder, first-degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence.

Anderson, who KSP identified as an acquaintance of Sarver’s, is charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Crayton and Anderson are each in Barren County Corrections Center awaiting an arraignment set for Feb. 4.
