Franklin-Simpson boys win Warren East Raider Invitational

The Franklin-Simpson boys’ golf team won its second tournament of the week by shooting 314 to take the Warren East Raider Invitational on Saturday at Shady Hollow Golf Course.

Chase Wilson led the Wildcats with a 4-over par 76 while Alex Gilbert and Brandon Fykes each shot a 79. Franklin-Simpson won the South Warren Invitational Tournament with a 298 on Thursday.

Barren County’s Jon Brewington shot a 74 and won the individual title after a two-hole playoff.

Central Hardin placed second with a 331 and Allen County-Scottsville finished third with a 334. Owen Stamper led the Patriots with a 76 to finish fourth individually after a one-hole playoff. Wilson finished fifth.

The Greenwood boys’ golf team finished fourth in the Dawson Springs Invitational with a 333 on Saturday. Griffin Plumb tied for fourth with a 78. Marshall County won the tournament with a 310.

The Bowling Green boys’ golf team shot 330 to finish 16th in the Kentucky Invitational Tournament at Harmony Landing Country Club in Goshen. St. Xavier won the tournament with a 290.
