Raiders’ Downey, BG’s Brown named to KHSBCA All-State First Team
Recent graduates Davion Downey of Warren East and Luke Brown of Bowling Green were named to the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Baseball First Team.
Louisville Ballard’s Jordan Abell, who was selected 10th overall Monday in the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft, was selected as the 2017 Kentucky Mr. Baseball.
Downey is a Baylor baseball signee. Brown has signed to play at Western Kentucky.
Bowling Green graduate Tyler Stahl and Logan County rising senior Kaleb Justice were named as second-team picks.
Two Belmont signees – Logan County’s Jackson Campbell and Bowling Green’s Logan Bowen – were third-team picks.
Butler County’s Blake Graham, who has signed with Southern Indiana, and Glasgow’s Dalton Shoemake – a Wabash Valley College signee – were named as honorable mention selections.{&end}
