Trail date set for Whitehall in reckless homicide case
Warren Circuit Judge Steve Wilson has set a trial date for Kaylee Whitehall, who is charged with reckless homicide in the death of her then-boyfriend.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Kim Geohegan said the trial will be Sept. 20-22 in Warren Circuit Court.
Wilson set the date after a pre-trial hearing Monday in circuit court. Wilson late last month denied a request to dismiss the case against Whitehall, 26, who is accused of fatally stabbing Kuston Johnson, 36, on Sept. 10 at a Lost River Lane home the two once shared.
Whitehall’s attorney, Dennie Hardin has argued that Whitehall used justifiable deadly force while acting in self-defense.
