Are you feeling the Christmas Spirit yet? If not, then you will want to join us for the annual “Downtown Lights Up” event on Thursday, December 1st from 5:30 to 7:30pm. This is a night of lights, Santa, music, and downtown shopping for the whole family to enjoy!!

Downtown Lights Up Event activities:

• 5:30 Kicks off the event with the ceremonial lighting of Fountain Square Park by the Mayor
• 5:45 Santa arrives on the fire tuck
• Musical performances by local musical groups throughout the evening.
• Horse-drawn carriage rides around the park beginning at 5:30pm.
• Merchants will be open late for shopping.
• Complimentary refreshments will be served in downtown retail stores.
• Visits with Santa will take place under the Capitol Arts Theatre Marquee.
• Prize drawings throughout the event
• All events are entirely free and open to the public.

Fountain Square Christmas Market starts Thursday at Downtown Lights Up and continues through the weekend.  Vendors will be set up in the park and merchants will have extended hours.

• Thursday December 1 – 5:30pm to 7:30pm
• Friday December 2 – 10am to 7pm
• Saturday December 3 – 10am to 7pm
• Sunday December 4 – 1pm to 4pm
