‘Draw a check’ approach needs to be changed in U.S.

Capitalism separates the haves from the have-nots.

Socialism enslaves all of us, and the less we have, the more we are enslaved.

When the government makes it easier to “draw a check” than to work, something needs to be changed. The government will not do it because there’s less need for federal employees. The Veterans Administration scandal exists because it is patterned after the federal government. The top brass get millions in bonuses to encourage the lower brass to falsify records and make life more frustrating for peons.

Most of the 700-odd lawyers working for the VA are sons and daughters of the Senate and House. There is little we can do to change the government, mainly the most important thing to them is to get re-elected. Because Rep. John Boehner now considers himself to be the most powerful politician, do we still need Sen. Mitch McConnell’s gridlock? All news media should be unbiased, but if you ever printed a kind word about a Democrat, I missed it. Where was Alison Grimes when she voted for Obamacare?
