Bowling Green coach Correa gets 300th win

The Bowling Green girls’ soccer team shut out Warren Central 10-0 and coach Lisa Correa won her 300th game as a head coach Tuesday.

Freshman Whitaker Buchanan scored five goals and had an assist to push the Lady Purples to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in District 14.

Emma Wilgruber had a pair of goals. Riley Thompson, Emma Wiedner and Caroline Buchanan also scored in the win.

Warren East 6, Breckinridge County 0

Warren East earned its second shutout win of the season by beating Breckinridge County 6-0. Haley Elrod led the Lady Raiders with three goals and an assist.

Andrea Hudson, Allison Hendrick and Haley Eller also scored for Warren East. Hendrick had two assists and Cailyn Howard had the shutout in goal.

Boys’ Soccer

Barren County 10, Russellville 0

The Trojans bounced back after a shutout loss at Glasgow by running past Russellville 10-0 on Tuesday.

Alex and Andrew Witty scored three goals each. Tanner Pace had three assists and Seth Mitchell assisted a pair of goals. Spencer Steenbergen earned the shutout in goal.

Glasgow 6, Franklin-Simpson 2

Glasgow won its fourth straight match by topping Franklin-Simpson 6-2 on Tuesday. Marc Buchannan and Alejandro Bueso each scored three goals in the win.

Bueso leads the team with 15 goals this year.
