Granville Mitchell is a native of Bowling Green Kentucky, and has lived here most of his life. He graduated from Bowling Green High School and studied commercial art at Western Kentucky University. Mr. Mitchell’s main medium is oil paint, but he also works in acrylic, colored pencil, ink, and airbrush from time to time. Granville is mostly a self-taught artist who learned his skills from his love of reading comic books. He always loved drawing pictures from them. Granville tries to tell a story with each painting or drawing that he does.
Granville’s work will be featured in the Porter Cafe at the Main Library at 1225 State Street. Both exhibits run April 1 – April 29.
