March Art Exhibits at Warren County Public Library
Martha Derlam Duff will be showing her paintings at the Main Library at 1225 State Street beginning March 1.
Duff was born in Bowling Green. She studied art at Western Kentucky University and at two Junior Colleges in California.
“All I, as an artist, can do is attempt to copy the beauty of God’s creation,” says Duff. “It is my wish that someone may look at my paintings and be reminded of the awesome beauty of the world God has given us and take time to see the beauty all around us everywhere every day.”
Garry White will be exhibiting his work at the Bob Kirby Branch at 175 Iron Skillet Drive also beginning March 1.
White is an abstract, nonrepresentational artist. He is a native of Kentucky, making his home in Bowling Green. Garry started creating abstract art professionally in 2001. He has had several exhibits since then. He has tried many different forms only to settle on string art as his favorite.
“I don’t use brushes. I paint with strings,” says White. “I let the paint and the strings be free to create the piece.”
Both exhibits run through March 31. For more information about the exhibits or to inquire about exhibiting art at the Warren County Public Library, contact Jayne Pelaski at jaynep@warrenpl.org.
