Family Enrichment Center will hold auditions for their 2010 “Funniest Kids Around” comedy competition at Barnes and Noble on January 30th from 9:00 to 2:00.  Area children, ages kindergarten through 6th grade, are invited to present a three minute act for a chance to perform live on the stage at the Capitol Arts Center on Saturday, February 20th.

The show “Funniest Kids Around” begins at 6:30 on Saturday, February 20th at the Capitol Arts Center with the participants arriving in a limo to a red carpet entrance at 6:15.  The event is being presented by US Bank.  There will be prizes awarded to the finalist in each age category.  Last year’s winner was flown to California to be on the Bonnie Hunt Show! Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for a child and will be sold at the event by the Family Enrichment Center Staff.  All proceeds will benefit the Family Enrichment Center in its mission to prevent child abuse.

    This unique event will highlight local children as they take center stage for an evening of deep belly laughs and fun while we search for our area’s youngest comedians! 

Family Enrichment Center’s mission is to “empower families and prevent child abuse.”  Sadly, Kentucky was recently reported to be #1 in child fatalities due to abuse/neglect.  Now more than ever, Family Enrichment Center needs your support to make life safer for children in our region.
