Family Enrichment Center will hold auditions for their 2011 “Funniest Kids Around” comedy competition at Barnes and Noble on January 29th from 9:00 to 12:00 and February 3rd from 5:30-8:00pm.  Area children, aged kindergarten through 6th grade, are invited to present a three minute act for a chance to perform live on the stage at the Capitol Arts Theatre on Saturday, February 19th.

    The show “Funniest Kids Around” presented by US Bank begins at 6:30 on Saturday, February 19th at the Capitol Arts Theatre with the participants arriving in a limo to a red carpet entrance at 6:15.  There will be prizes awarded to the finalist in each age category.  Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for children and will be sold at the event by the Family Enrichment Center Staff.  All proceeds will benefit the Family Enrichment Center in its mission to prevent child abuse.

    This unique event will highlight local children as they take center stage for an evening of laughter and fun while we search for our area’s youngest comedians! 

Family Enrichment Center’s mission is to “empower families and prevent child abuse.”  Sadly, Kentucky was recently reported to be #1 in child fatalities due to abuse/neglect.  Now more than ever, Family Enrichment Center needs your support to make life safer for children in our region.
