Call to artists: Children’s Art Show at the Fine Arts Bistro

All area students in the second through the sixth grade are invited to participate in a Children’s Art Show sponsored by members of the Arts Guild of the Barrens. The art is scheduled to hang at the Fine Arts Bistro located at 143 West Main Street in downtown Glasgow from April 25-May 10. A reception, open to the public, will be held at the Bistro to honor the young artists. A date will be announced once the art is in place at the Bistro.

The theme of the art show is “Spring in Kentucky.”  With this theme, flowers and trees readily come to mind, but think about other subjects that illustrate spring such as baby animals, the Derby, outdoor activities, and so much more! Hanging art is accepted, but must not be larger than 11” x 17”. The Guild requests that each entry be titled. Along with the art, submit the title of the art; artist’s name, address, phone number; and grade level.

Art must be dropped off at the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce, 118 East Public Square, Glasgow, by Tuesday, April 19. Contact Ann Stewart, 270-579-1737 for information.
