What a place downtown Bowling Green is on Friday summer nights! In addition to 2 shows by Concerts in the Park, 440 Main always has a band outside (weather permitting, if not they pull it inside) right after the Fountain Square show is over. That would be at 9 PM. So I couldn’t help but run into The Fender Benders for the start of their gig. The Fender Benders are a long-running favorite band in Bowling Green featuring the vocal stylings of Willie Smith. And Willie turned it on tonight.

But the talent doesn’t stop there. Lead guitarist Steve Sanders, keyboardist Andy Day, and drummer Chris Hardesty are all well-known around town, and for good reason. Each of them knows their stuff and together they create good times. If you don’t believe it, just check them out sometime and tell me you don’t see anyone dancing sooner or later.
