Man charged with filing false report after unfulfilled liaison
A Bowling Green man told police multiple stories Monday when he was out $200 for an unfulfilled sexual liaison.
He first told police that he was lured to a motel room for a “good time” by two women who then pulled a Taser on him and took his money.
He later admitted to police that he engaged with one of the women on a website popular for finding partners for sex.
The man eventually told police that he agreed to pay $200 for “whatever” he wanted. When he met with the women, he was unable to become aroused and demanded his money back. He then called police to report a robbery when they gave him back only half of his money.
Police got the man’s money back. However, he was charged with filing a false report, a misdemeanor.
There is no indication that either of the women were charged, but all three were banned from returning to the Bowling Green business.
Armed robbery – Franklin police are looking for a man they believe robbed American Check Advance on Saturday.
Police were called to the business at 9:35 a.m. after an armed robbery. The robber displayed a black handgun tucked into his waistband and ordered an employee to hand over cash, according to a Franklin Police Department news release.
He left in a silver car with Tennessee tags. Surveillance images from the bank were posted to the police department’s Facebook page, and several users identified the man in the images as Nicholas Herrington, 27, of Franklin, according to the release.
An arrest warrant has been issued charging Herrington with first-degree robbery. His information has been entered into a national crime database accessible to law enforcement officers across the country and shows that Franklin is willing to extradite Herrington from all 50 states.
Anyone with information about Herrington is asked to call 270-586-7167.
