Eric Wilson and the Empty Hearts: Quarterfuse (2008)
Logan County natives Eric and Matt Wilson, formerly of Go Aberdeen, have released their debut album with their band Eric Wilson and the Empty Hearts, which has spent the last two years making a name for itself in Nashville and the surrounding area. Storytelling is an integral part of their Americana/Indie Rock sound and many of the stories on Quarterfuse arise from Kentucky country sensibilities. Besides the title track, about a Civil War battle, selections include: The Coal Runs Through my Veins, Red River and Kentucky, You’re My Lover.
The album was mixed by Grammy nominated Jason Lehning and recorded at Gravity Studios in Nashville. If you missed hearing selections from Quarterfuse at Bread & Bagel, mark your calendars for their next local appearance at the Russellville Theatre Feb. 4, 2009 for a Russellville Arts Council fundraiser. www.myspace.com/ericwilson
