Jerry Kurl – Latney Blunk: My Conqueror EP (2009)

Jerry Kurl’s My Conqueror EP follows the singer/songwriter tradition of John Prine, Billy Joe Shaver, Johnny Cash and others.  “I like to think of it as frivolous mountain music, traditional and genuine, its about the people and places I know.  I was lucky enough to have my favorite guitar player, Aaron Dailey, with me in October when I went to Florida to record it and he plays on several tracks and even allowed me a song he wrote.  I just like to create honest music and I hope that some like-minded musicians can dig my scene.” says Kurl.

The EP is was engineered and the artwork designed by Kurl and Dailey for Kurl’s label Latney Blunk Music and reproduced locally by Dozing Lady Records.  Mark Domina served as business manager.

Tracks include: Georgia (maybe California), Lil’ easy Anna, Frivolous Mountain Jam, Nunna Daul Isunyi, Old Friend, Behind the Sun and Conqueror.
