WKU-PBS receives 7 Emmy nominations

WKU-PBS, WKU’s Public Television Service, has been nominated for seven awards in six categories for the 53rd Annual Ohio Valley Emmy Awards. Recipients will be announced during an Aug. 5 ceremony in Lawrenceburg, Ind.

Darius Barati, Neil Purcell and Mark Toon, all Western Kentucky University graduates, and James Pearson were nominated this year for the “Lost River Sessions” program. In addition, Josh Niedwick and Lisa Autry are nominated for their work on a program called “Fostering An Unconditional Love.”

Cheryl Beckley of WKU-PBS is being recognized with the Silver Circle Award, one of the highest honors given by the Ohio Valley Chapter. She is being honored for her 25 years in the industry. Barb Deeb of WKU-PBS received the Silver Circle Award last year.
